Less Email Stress
I finally lifted my hands off the keyboard in defeat. That morning, I had decided enough was enough, I was going to tackle my worst email deficit ever. Things had gotten dire. I had e-mails that needed a reply that were a week old - voicemails too. I poured myself a cup of coffee and dove-in whole heartedly. 4 hours and hundreds of replies later, I was further behind than when I started. I had turned my phone off at the start of my epic email session, so now I was further behind on both voicemails and emails. Enough was enough. Years before I had dedicated myself to become an expert at Microsoft Excel, a very worthwhile professional pursuit. Why had I never made the same effort to become the master of inbox? I knew this pursuit wouldn't be as straight forward or as tidy as Excel formulas, but I had to try. When was the last time I learned something new about Outlook, I wondered? Were other humans keeping up with this amount of email, or was I struggling alone? And so this learning journey began....
